It was nothing but smiles and slam dunks for the Oakleigh Raptors Basketball Club last weekend as the community came together for a fantastic fundraising event that will go a long way in helping build a stronger and better club for all.
From the moment the doors opened at Bunnings Oakleigh South, the energy was electric. Families, players, coaches, and supporters packed the venue to enjoy a day filled with cooking sausages, music, laughter and plenty of basketball spirit. The atmosphere was a true reflection of what makes our club so special, the teamwork, community, and passion for the game.
The event’s success wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of our sponsors. A huge thank you goes to Oakleigh Central Bakers Delight whose generosity and commitment to grassroots sport helped the day be so successful. We also want to sincerely thank Bunnings Oakleigh South for providing the opportunity to run the fundraiser with them, the welcoming partnership and the BBQ!
Most importantly, we thank our local community. Whether you bought a sausage or two, volunteered at the grill, or simply came along to cheer, your support is what drives us forward. Every contribution, helps us provide better programs, facilities, and opportunities for our players.
With funds raised, the club is excited to continue developing programs for our juniors, improving equipment, and creating more pathways for players of all ages to enjoy and excel in basketball.
Together, we’ve proven again, when the community rallies together, the future is brighter. Thank you for helping us build something special, both on and off the court!
